.. had it right. Push all of your sound back a bar and just poke the automation infront of the song a bit. :)

Prodigal responds:

xD

I'll do that as soon as I get everything figured out.

That gong thing.

At 0:37 and such. How the hell did you make that? It sounds too cool man.

I loved the drums too. The kick wasn't as punchy as most dubstep, sort of gave a nice relaxed atmoshpere.

Can't really fault it. Would be nice if you arranged it into a full length, though.

Reignee responds:

I made it with a normal synth, lowpass filter on it with a tad of reverb and delay, not much though, and very short notes following eachother :)

Thanks for the review!

New samples, still ;P

Mate you still need better drum samples. The bass was aight, but, it felt really crowded, if you know what I mean?
Also, this is really repetative.

And reply to my damn PM about your other tune, damnit ;)

DJ-BloodWraith responds:

I have got new drum sounds now lol, this is old, And sorry shall reply ^^.
Im not into this tune, its wayyyyy to repetative and, to be honest, Crap.
lol thanks for the comment mate.

Half the speed of the drums.

Half the drums tempo, so it'll be near a dubstep speed.
Get some nice sounding drum samples too.

However I do like your composition and the lead you used feels quite dark. It gives a good vibe for the song.
A little something to introduce the drums would have been nice, and if they came in a little sooner. I got bored of the song before I heard them.

This song has wicked potential though, so work on it. :)

DJ-BloodWraith responds:

thanks alot fot the comment. Ill take your advice onboard and probably remix this song.

Cheers dude

:D :D :D

Wow. The section from 1:14 to 1:26 was sweet as a nugget.

Your composition skills are quite something, I must say. However I feel the way this is produced really brings it back from what it could be.
I'm not quite sure how, and know you might not understand me when I say it. But the elements in the song don't seem to gel.

However, that one section = <3
If it came on in a club I'd jizz myself.

Darren-M responds:

at the time i made this i was getting into story line, i wanted to see if i could make the synths etc, resemble a squirrel, and yeah that one part everyone likes was probably the highlight of the song! at around !:50 i didnt want to spell out the squirrels final options, i wanted to leave it up to the listener i guess. to me, who knows what happened to him!

thanks for the review!

Work on your kick

The kick needs to sound more, hardstyley, if you know what I mean.
Go to YouTube and watch some tutorials on how to make them, or get some samples or something.

Apart from that it's okay. I didn't like the saw, but that's just me.
The melody in the intro reminds me of Gremlins for some reason, 'cause of the sound, not the tune. And it gets tedious.
I don't know what that little dink sound is right at the start, but it's annoying, and seems very pointless.
Also, it comes out of the main melody too quick near the end.

But you seem to have the basic idea down, just need to practise :)

DJ-xTc responds:

Pm me exactly what you mean there are all kinds of hardstyle "Kicks" =)
thnx for the review

:D:)

Man, that melody is super evil. I love it.
At first it sounded a bit ehh, but after the intro it was a full-on slaughter fest.

The drums were super chaotic, and the bass was super awesome. I'm not listening through my headphones, but I can tell the bass has so much gonads.
Fancy teaching me how to make a bass like that? ;)

5/5

Darren-M responds:

yeah intro was more to make the listener think of what was going to happen and to show case what was musically going on in the piece, so that the listener wouldn't strain to remember it or figure it out. i wanted them to hear it first so it wouldn't over whelm the ears and could be dismissed from though while the drums started since they were the main focus.

and yeah ill send you a pm on both of the major basses in this

Nice.

I've listened to the msot recent half of your submissions, and this is a great improvement from your other stuff.

I'll start with the beef. I dislike the bell chimes at the end. I don't think they fit the song.
Also, the strings seem rather robotic. Perhaps changing the velocity of the notes in places to create a more human feel. A slightly shorter attack time might not go amiss as well.

The flute sounds excellent. Obviously not as good as the real deal, but for some reason I'm really digging it. The same with the percussion. It just fits nicely.

The mixing and mastering I can't really fault either. Well done.

SoulRed12 responds:

Thanks for the review ^_^

Good catch on the strings...I didn't notice it before, but now that you mention it, they could use some variety. I will experiment with some stuff, and if worst comes to worst, I can always just re-record them entirely.

I'll also scrap the ending bell chimes.

And thanks for the good stuff at the end (lol) =] Great review.

grfgrt

The sidechaining is really good. Has a nice bumpy feel to it. And the kick is nice and punchy :D

The lead got on my nerves a bit, but that's due to my taste.

Mastering wise the track could have been a lot louder, that seems to be the only downfall of it.

DanceNation responds:

Yea, i love the sidechaining my self too :D

I could have made it alot louder, but it takes a ton of time and work, more than i already did, cuz you have all those mixer tracks, and if you just increase the overall volume, you get a very nasty distortion. thank you for checking out my song tho :)

Hey man

The only bad thing I can point out is that it just feels like it's lacking something.
It might be something to do with low end and high end. There isn't enough stuff to fill up the higher frequencies in my opinion. However that's just my personal taste, though, and why I don't like Basshunter's music. lol!

It's good though dude, keep it up! 5/5

IndieDance responds:

=] thanks! ill keep that in mind :P
